    5 lug conversion / brake question

    I am getting ready to do a 5 lug swap. I am using SN95 spindles with dual piston PBR's up front and ranger axle and drums out back. I saw on another site that some people have had trouble with their pedal pressure and brakes not working right with this combo. Eventually I would like to get rear disc but right now the budget isn't there. Anybody have any experience using these discs/drums?

    to do it correct, you need the booster from the sn95 also.. the stock booster on a fox doesnt have enough pressure for the dual pistons. it will still stop you but it's the pedal is just a little softer then stock..
    ridin fast,hittin da hills,throwin some dirt

    Agreed!

    Or you could forgo the 13" rotors up front and run the GT brakes all around. Thats what I have on my fox and it stops in a real hurry!! I did my swap for 400 bucks. This includes the master cylinder, booster, and prop valve from a 95.

    I had no problems with mine. I esed the PBR calipers, drum rear and my master and booster. Pedal feels great and it stops real good. Total invested is about $50-100.

    well im picking up a rear 5 lug disk conversion for $50

    now i need to find the front....i imagine going disk all the way around i definately need to get the 95 master cyl? what else?

    Thats about what I have in mine, I used 94GT stuff and ranger axles, my booster. Pedal is a little soft, but it does stop nice. Don't forget you'll need a spacer for the balljoints or balljoints with more threads (like steeda x2's)

    I already have ranger axles/drums. If I decide to go with rear discs can I still use the ranger axles?

    Spindles,calipers,rotors,banjo washers for the brake lines,and either new balljoints like the x2's or a spacer/ stack washers.

    I used mag wheel washers. They are hard as a rock and act only as washers anyways. I used 3 on top of each side. The fox balljoints are just a tad too long and lack thread at the bottom for proper tightness. I aligned my car on my garage floor with a lever, brake line and a sharpie. I put the toe at 1/8 in. It equaled about 16 turnes on both sides. My camber is at about 1/8 bubble or about 2 degrees. I have no idea what factory specs are so I cant really get it right. No pulling and it handles great. Stock cc plates too.

    i believe the axles from 94-98 are longer then stock axles in ur fox... thats why you run ranger axles cause they are the same length

    That rear is too wide. People use it but you are limited on your rim selection. Do research before you decide to use it. On the other hand, I can make anything. That is the option I was gonna use. Cut the brackets off the housing and weld them to mine. check the site www.sn95brakes.com very usefull and lots of info there.

    thought you were currently running a 7.5" from a 94-98

    and is .75" each side really that big of a difference?

    edit- i was going to use the axels...not the whole housing.
