F/S 03 Cobra Replica rims 10.5"...Acid damage on polish

So i have 2 03 Cobra Reps. The first time I get the car washed with this set. I used an acid based cleaner and the polish got damaged. As you can see in the picture the OEM ones on the ground, and the damaged ones next to them. Maybe they can be painted black or something. Ive tried polishing them up but not even close to original look. Tires not included. I would like 180 for the set OBO.

They can be repolished, but it has to be with a high speed buffer and a "cutting" type of polish and wheel.

i took it to a place in monesson called Ric's Repolishing. He did the best he could do with several different buffers, and it came out nowhere near original. They looked OK, but the fronts and rears look completely different.

Ya the aftermarkets were an aluminum polish, they were close but not exact. Until I did that dumb mistake, now I can't even come close.

They probably need to be sanded and then machine polished.

My buddy polishes a lot of stuff - like the frame on his Honda 1000RR. Originally it was a rough cast finish, and he sanded....and sanded...and sanded...then polished...and polished... and ended up with a frame that looks like it is almost chrome. He did the same with his swing arm, footpegs, and all the other goodies. The bike is SICK! It is a lot of work, but he has gotten really good at it.

I've met Ric before - think he used to be ( might still be ) in Monessen?? Did he just use various polishes, or did he do any sanding first?

Probably will need to sand them down to get the acid etch out, then start back with polishing.

If it looks good, you'll see it. If it sounds good, you'll hear it. If it's marketed right, you'll buy it. But if it's real, you'll feel it. IG: @donuttrump

Ya still in the same place. He used like 4 buffers and then a polish, but he wanted 200 for both wheels but it wasn't close to being a chrome look

If I didn't sell them already they'd be going back on, I got a good bit for them so I didn't pay much out of pocket for these new ones
