WTB: 4 decent 14" whitewall tires

    Hey Guys,

I just bought a '66 Cyclone GT that has a set of G78 wide white walls on it... date coded 1978! I'm scared to drive it on those!

I'm not sure what I'll run on it long term, but immediately I'd like to find a decent set of white-wall radials for it. Ideally,

    215/70/14's...

but I'd be interested in most anything 195/75/14 or beefier.

I'll pay anything reasonable... itching to drive this thing!

    Okay to email/text 412-551-0990.

    Thanks!
    Greg

Dang buddy - 2 years ago I sold the stock steel rims off Beth's '66 GT - with tires on them. They weren't pretty - and were RWLetters, not WWs, but they would have done the trick in a pinch.

I have 2 buddies who may have something for you. I'll let you know when they get back to me.

Do you want to see how my 16x8's off of the Green Monster look on the Cyclone???

Oh - and you need to get some photos of the new ride posted!!

Struck out on one of my 2 options - I'll have an answer for you on the other one tonight or tomorrow. The tires might be blackwall 195's but they are like brand new.

    Dan,

    Got your message... thanks!

If the set that PaxtonShelby is working on don't work out, you're my next call.

If you happen to walk by the T-bird, can you check and see if they are whitewalls?

    Not a dealbreaker, just curious.

    Thanks!

    Ron,
Thanks for trying to hook me up... sounds like we've got almost all the brake parts already... just tracking down front wheel cylinders. (So weird to say 'front wheel cylinders'!!!).

    Greg

I looked earlier.......they have whitewalls on the inside, dirty but could clean up. The tread is decent. They are Firestones.

Oh... that raises the stakes a bit! Plump 215s with a whitewall and a real brand!

I'm pretty tied up between now and early Sunday, but I'll let you know as soon as I can. Thanks for checking!
