Srt8 to 5.0

Hey all my name is Mike im from the monroeville area. As of saturday i picked up my new Grabber blue 2012 mustang gt auto. This thing is pretty sweet. I traded in my 2006 300c srt8 which i loved dearly but after test driving a new 5.0 my mind was made up. I know/met a couple members at the irwin car shows the last few years. I just ordered a magnaflow comp muffer delete axle back for the car and im hoping to get it in for tint this week. I came from an srt8 with slp lm1's so i need my car to be loud or i hate it. Already planning on getting the 624 whipple next summer but there is only 300 miles on the odometer so i don't want to go mod crazy yet. I'll wait until after winter to lose my warranty. Still debating on wheels but probably will go with a set of staggered sve drifts or rtrs. I will probably change my mind at least 20 times before summer hits. Right now i miss the low end torque the srt8 had but i know with a few bolt on's the mustang will have more than enough to satisfy my needs. Looking forward to meeting some of you and learning all i can about these new mustangs.

Ill get more pics when i have it cleaned up as the 200 mile drive back from maryland produced more dead bugs on my car than i ever could have imagined.

welcome. To hold you over get it tuned and with a cai. Wakes the car up completely. Control arms and relo brackets will solve the wheel hop issues as well :D

I would love to check out your car sometime jaa55. Probably won't see it until the summer and there a is a meet or something. Did you go with the 525 or 624? Im suprised at all the aftermarket stuff for these cars already. I keep picking something i want and seeing something different i like better and changing my mind. The srt8 didn't have this kind of aftermarket. I already plan on ordering a airraid intake and sct soon. Just can't decide if i want a cam tune or not.

Im suprised at all the aftermarket stuff for these cars already. I keep picking something i want and seeing something different i like better and changing my mind. I have the 624hp kit.......theres no difference other than the tune and pulley. You can check it out whenever you want......ill prob drive it for a little bit more this season. I have an SCT tuner laying around for it.

I love how it sounds as well. Just don't know how well it is for the auto yet. And yes i agree Grabber Blue is my favorite color of the new mustangs. I drove 4 hours out of my way to get it :)

Yeah PittSpeed is as good as gone, there is a small group of people carrying on the Pittspeed type "legacy" if you will. Going good here, left the shop about 2 years ago and back dabbling in the IT/Software field, still good friends with Jay though. You still working with POS stuff?

Yes sir it's still paying the bills. Mainly just for beer distributors and ice companys. My team handles around 130-150 distributors. If beer ever gets sold in convenience stores ill be out of business :( Are you talking about swpa? I was on there but no one posted so i quit going back.
