    HelloHello

Hi, I live in the South Hills and have a gray, 1985, 5.0, T-Top. I am new to this forum world so i am still trying to figure out where everything is. I joined because I want to begin to start upgrading. Performance first and cosmetics second. Definitely not an everyday driver but not a dragster either. Also, it is a toy, not an investment and I want to work on it slowly to learn more about the car.

Welcome aboard! Car looks nice! Gotta love the '85s - first year for the roller cam and last year for the carb. T5 or AOD? What mods so far? You'll find lots of good advice and parts around here. I bet someone here has a set of polished stainless tailpipes that would look good on there instead of the '87 -'93 GT turndowns.

The tranny is T5 and i am the second owner and the only thing performance wise that he mentioned was that it has a full flowmaster H-Pipe exhaust and a newer motor (V8 obviously but not sure what). Any thoughts on how to figure that out (serial number or something?). Since then i have basically replaced old components such as the radiator, carburetor, cleaned up the engine, replaced gaskets, new interior carpet, a/c eliminator kit, removed heater core, different air filter arrangement (as shown), later model front end.

The only cosmetic change I would recommend is to give itt the 4 eyed look back!

    Welcome!

    engine

Thanks for the greetings. The engine in the car is not the original and I was wondering if anyone could confirm what it is from looking at it in the pictures attached? I think it is the V8 5.0L 302 4BBL.

Well, the valve covers and intake manifold are correct for an '85.

I can't tell much about the rest of it.
