Cruise to Carlisle

Anyone driving up to the All-Ford Carlisle show on Friday morning. I am looking for people to cruise with on the Turnpike. I will be meeting a few people from New York at the breezewood exit so if anyone wants to cruise up to breezewood then join up with the other bunch, the post up here.

I am looking to leave around 7am on Friday June 1st (mod or admin - please sticky this)

I will be leaving Wheeling super ridiculously early on Saturday morning, so I guess I wont be able to. If anyone is goin saturday, I'd like to know so I could join in a little cruisin. I will be showing my car Saturday and Sunday, spending the night there Saturday night. I can't wait. I have a few more things to finish up on the car before then.

If you wanna set up a place to meet in New Stanton, I can just be there between those times, and whenever you guys show up, I'll join.

Don, are you suggesting walkie-talkies to these guys for the trip down? I have an extra one if anyone wants to borrow it.

I had a blast with it on my last convoy, plus nothin better than seeing a shitload of stangs all cruisin together! Good Times

Good idea Tammy. If anyone has a 2-way radio for the cruise down to keep in touch, bring them with you.

Looks like alot of people are going on Saturday morning.

For those going Friday, send me a PM and I'll add to this list.

Since I have a time frame to be in Breezewood between 9am and 10am, I'll need to be on the TPK (monroeville exit) at 7:20am. There is a pull-off rest area 10 min. past the Monroeville exit, so anyone who wants to join in on the Friday caravan to Breezewood will need to meet at this rest area by 7:30am.

So far here are the people who said they want to go. Send me a PM if you want to join. I'll send my cell # out to everyone so that they can call if someone is running behind.

I am hoping to go out on friday but wont have the stang, it needs a clutch bad and dont want to chace it that far. I might stilll want to meet you guys. But driving a 04 2 door dodge stratus and not sure if that would fit in.

Weather channel says 40% chance of rain all weekend. These summer storms are the worst. They dump about 2 inches of rain in half an hour. HAHAHA Guess I should bring my tent and charge the A/C in the stang.

FYI- If anybody is thinking of trying to get a hotel at the last minute you probably wont have any luck right in Carlisle but if you go south on 81 to exit 29, you might have some luck there. turn right at the end of the ramp and there is a hotel down there on the right. Forget the name though. I wont be going to the show because of work but i will be in carlisle late friday night. If you get off the pike and go south on 11 Ill be at the first Sheetz store on the right in a big red Sheetz truck about 10:30pm to 12:00am. If you go down farther on 11 there is another one on the left. Ill be there from about 6:30pm to 8:00 pm. Stop in and Ill let you blow the air horn. Try not to buy anything from these places because Ive just gotta haul it back in.

I will be at the McDonalds on Rt65 in Avalon/Bellvue tomorrow morning. Leaving there by 7:30 to get onto the TPK at Monroeville by 8am. We are stopping at the Midway reststop by 9:30 to meet a few more, then off to Carlisle. I think Ray (stangman701) is supposed to meet me in the morning. What time you leaving?
