any ford techs or tranny techs?

im having a problem with my 99 f150 trans shifting funny and was wondering if theres any techs on here. it has delay shifts,late shifts,and occasionally hard shifts. every once in a while it sounds like it slips in second but not everytime. i know the new trans are more elecrtronic and was wondering if it could be something simple like a solenoid. thanks in advance
