    Question for detailing buffs

For my senior project i will be "refinishing" my sn95, Inside and out. This leads me to a few questions i have for you guys.

First: The car, in all its dull and faded glory.
    Exterior:

First question is when the spot where the paint has chipped off on the quarter panel get painted, can just that panel be painted and it look decent or will the whole car need resprayed? the same with the inside of the hood scoops. Also on the front bumper, where the clear coat is peeling, can that be wet sanded and polished or does that need painted as well?

My next question is about polishing the whole body of the car after the touch ups have been completed. I'm not exactly sure what i will need to do this, that's why its my project and its supposed to be a learning stretch. What all will i need to complete a buff/ Polish on my car from start to finish? whats the best way to do it? what products to use and how to use it? any tips i couldn't learn in a book are helpful.

    Interior:

The third part of this project is the interior, I will be taking out most major pieces of the interior to recondition them back to a like new finish, I know how to clean out the seats and carpet but for the plastic trim pieces are there any specific plastic polishes that work well for bringing life back into faded pieces, or tricks for any other pieces i might encounter?

ANY help with this is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Shawn
