87 Mustang for sale on craigslist from West Deer?????

    http://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/cto/2666122008.html

I saw this add on craigslist and wanted to check out the car since he was so close to me. The guy says he has a 87 Mustang convertible with a V-6. They did not make a 87 Mustang with a v-6. I asked him for a picture and he sent me pictures of a 86 LX. I tried to contact him numerous times without him responding. I then saw he added the price of $4000 onto his add. I contacted him and said his car is a 86 Mustang not a 87 Mustang and he got pissed. He keeps texting me saying there is no difference between a 86 and 87 and got into this big deal about why he needs to have appointments for letting someone look at his cars. What type of idiot sells a car and does not know what he is selling? From the pictures, this is a not mint and is $2000 car at best. This guy wants $4K. What a rocket scientist!

yeah craigslist is a joke...there's so many white trash people trying to sell junk for a fortune. 90% of the people on their don't know shit about cars and think because they put a few hundred dollars into their car a month ago, it automatically makes the car $3k more than it should be.

I always get responses similar to this: "Well, I know the car goes for $2,000, however I just put new tires on it, changed the oil, spark plugs, plug wires, air filter, and got it inspected. That is why I have it listed for $5,000."

I actually was interested in looking at the car (I would not mind having a driver 1985/1986 V-6 Mustang). When I first TRIED to get in touch with the guy he never responded back. That was weeks ago. He changed his add and I sent him a text telling him his car/ add was the wrong year so he would not look like an idiot. He then started sending me multiple texts back about what does it matter and got into this long drawn out drama about his add. Why would someone go psyco when you let them know there is a mistake? For a second I though I was getting a replys back from my wife lol

When I see overpriced cars on Craigslist, I generally take the easy way out and don't call about them.

When I first contacted him he had no price. If it would have said $4K I would have blown it off. I can get a nice 85-86 GT convertible for around that price instead of a V-6 Pony! I was thinking $2000 maybe.
