Penn State sucks (even more)

So Paterno was told of abuse of a child in JoeBlows locker room of all places, tells superiors, forgets about it basically. Accuser goes on to molest children for 9 more years on school property. Is Paterno as much to blame as anyone? I'll vote first, **** yes.

What is all the surprise? We are talking about men whos whole careers are based around coaching children. There is only a few reasons why a grown man would want to "coach" athletes. Either they have failed as athletes themselves, had success as athletes and cant stand to give up the "glory", or have an inferiority complex that leads them to have to control others. Paterno knew about it, he did nothing about it...he can burn too. They all were scared to lose their multi, multi-million dollar contracts, so nothing was said. A bunch of predatory scumbags. Thats all.....ill laugh if it ever even goes to trial, not with penn states BILLION, yes BILLION dollar football fund backing them up

.......and they still get TONS of state funding! But that is an entire other problem IMO.

We are essentially talking about STATE employees here. Being a commonwealth employee myself and knowing how things work, some folks can get away with a lot of things for a lot of years before getting canned. And they can protect who they want to cover things up...I've seen it happen. And now there is a case out in the public for all to see how they can sweep things away.

I don't care who the names are of those people invloved but they all need to be locked up......hopefully with a friendly "Bubba" to return the punishment that those boys went through.

I believe Joe P. is as much to blame as anyone. So what he reported the incident. How the hell do you allow the man to come on campus and still be around your program after you knew he did this crap. It amazes me how people can swept things under the rug. I too hope they all rot in hell. Innocent Lives are screwed up by these people. And now Joe wants to tell america how he gave his life for Penn State and everyone involved there. Like he deserves an award.

He announced that he was retiring at seasons end, but that doesn't mean that the Board won't bring his "retirement" on earlier. He's trying to save face. I'll be shocked if he coaches this Saturday.

As for Joe, I'd wager the Nebraska game ends up his last. He won't make it to end of season. If so I will be shocked.

Anyone who knew about it should be charged with the same crime as the one who actually did it. Also in my opinion anyone who does that to a child should be killed period. I don't care what your excuse is, if you touch a kid you die.

OK,,,, everyone has there say, so here is mine...so a guy witnessed him(jerry sandusky) doing this....CALLZ THE POLICE!!!! He didnt, and he told Joe, JOE reported it, So he didnt call the fuzz from based on second hand info....Why blame him? He reported it, now, if JOE woulda witnessed it first hand and did nothing, then he should be to blame as well....as to him dealing with him afterwards???? He may not have called the po, but he reported the second hand info he heard..........so idk if i would burn Joe at the stake...

Here is the problem for Joe, it not that he didn't report it. But what did he do to stop future attacks. Jerry continued to be at Penn State up until last week sometime. He had 2 different investigation 1 in 1998, 1 in 2002. Joe knew of both and actually gave testimony at some time. And apparently the Second Chance charity Jerry was apart of, cut ties with him in 2009, when this investigation started. So why would Joe allow jerry to be at Penn State still. He wasn't even on payroll, and he still had a office there. That is how Joe F'd up. Joe should of cut ties. He didn't, now he can pay the piper.

Just curious that if it came up in court,if they just swept it under the rug because of "lack of evidence?''

What really kills me are the moron Penn State college students who are rallying behind him. I guess being a good football coach is all that matters, who cares if he overlooked ongoing child abuse.

Those students obivously do not have children. Because anyone with a child could not possibly believe Joe did all he could have done. Joe had an obligation to protect the innocent. As well as all of us, and he did not. I believe he thought his program was more important. I have lost all of my respect for him. It amazes me how much this does happen in our society. Not just Penn State, not just the Catholic Church, but every where. Makes u wonder, where are peoples morals.

As a father of a child that was sexually aslt (by a older student)at my son's grade school. I know the agony the victims and their families are going through. It saddens me to watch the Penn State students out supporting Joe P. I think about those victims that have to see this. And people wonder why the victims have trouble coming out. The victims are always made out to be to problem. Why are there hords of people supporting the victims.

now, I'm really confused. hasn't Bradley been there for 30+ years working in and around the defense? so, Bradley knew none of this? is he that stupid or that shrewd to keep his name out of the whole scandal somehow?

I think anybody that worked with the scumbag for any amount of time should be canned.
