    Soda Blasting

Anyone have a hook up for soda blasting? My 70 camaro has been sitting for way 2 long. I can take the car to them.

Not sure if Ric's Kustom Polishing in Monessen still does this or not. Jeff at Volkers in Youngwood may know of a source as well.

I have to get my hood done to get repainted. The only place I found that did it was ecosafe in Bridgeville\carnegie.

At the time, the guy said they were 3-4 months back logged. He said they switch differnt blasts i.e soda, sand etc as often as they can. He said he could get me in and never called, I am most likey going to try to get back in contact with them before spring.

Its a huge factory, I looked in and saw whole cars, trucks and machinery waiting to be blasted. If you google ecosafe I belive they have two locations if not the big one I was at.

    Hope that helps.

They do a nice job. Had my '66 done top to bottom and inside out back in the late '90s. They also did my Dad's '57 T-Bird. At that time they were on Neville Island, but have since moved. They're always backlogged, but if you have some time to wait I would recommend them. I think the owner's name is George.

I had the exterior soda blasted and the interior, engine compartment, and undercarriage grit blasted. Then they cleaned the car up and sprayed it with epoxy primer I provided. That way nothing got surface rust while the bodywork ( and a lot of metalwork - ugh ) was being done. My total bill was around $900, but again, that was in the late '90s. Still, I'm glad I did it - all the undercoating was removed and it gave me a clean slate to work with.

Got any pics of the build of the car? I'd love to see them, it's such a sharp car!

If it looks good, you'll see it. If it sounds good, you'll hear it. If it's marketed right, you'll buy it. But if it's real, you'll feel it. IG: @donuttrump

Thanks Dan! I have some pics, but they're from way back before the digital cameras were popular! Damn I'm old...

I'll have to throw the photo album in the car...

This was my first toy and let me tell you - it had a HARD life before I got it. Ended up replacing the floors, one quarter, the taillight panel, and the decklid due to rust/damage. Good times...

I hear ya Randy - I actually do have a scanner - but the home computer has been tempermental lately. Over the Christmas holiday I hope to have my brother-in-law / Geek Squad take a look at it for me.

The car is nice, but not super nice. I have a ton of things that need done to it. Just need to clone myself to have the time...

One of these days I will stop after work to take a look at it! Where abouts in Moon are you?

Back on topic, I think there is a place in Butler called Blaster or Blastmaster.
