Anyone ever buy a vehicle on ebay? I found a truck for sale in Texas that is nearly what i've been looking for the past few months. Truck is for sale by a private owner, he has a good rating and the vehicle history is clean. Is there anything I should watch out for buying a vehicle online or out of state? Will there be any special fees for out of state transfers?

I bought one in Mass. Didn't send the guy a dime until we went to pick it up. We had him notarize the title, picked the car up and left all in about 45 mins. My boss bought a Corvette on ebay. Didn't seeit in person and had it shipped, turned out well, but seems risky to me.
I bought a crown Vic in new York, I went up made sure it was the condition they said it was transferred and paid them no hassles at all.

I've sold a couple on ebay. I bought one once, then the guy couldn't find the title so he sent me my money back...no problems really.

I bought my Cavalier on eBay. Sent a down payment to ensure I was interested, but didn't pay until the flatbed got to the car (driver took the check down). I bought it in Cincinnati.
