I know of at least 6 cars that made over 600whp at JS Dyno and one of them was over 1000hp. Sick numbers though.

As for hearing stories and rumors about shops, there is probably a story about every shop on that list. As for the shop in "Uniontown", I leave my car there all the time without worry and I dont trust anyone, that says a lot.

My stanger was on both Wolfpack's DynoJet and JS Dyno's Mustang dyno. The only difference from the dyno runs is I replaced my 3.27 gears with 4.10s before I went on JS dyno. The numbers were within 6 horsepower difference. 208rwhp vs 202rwhp.

Different days, different times, different operator, it all makes a difference. A dyno is a tuning tool.

Exactly, thats why I get a kick out of it when people claim a dyno reads low. If you notice, people dont ever say a dyno reads high. Maybe the ones that read high are false, no one knows, we just cant imagine that our car made less HP then we thought lol.

i assume this is partially pointed toward my comments above... and you get a kick out of it all you want... all i can say is from my personal experience - that my car feels much stronger than it did before... yet, at J&S dyno, put down over 100hp less than what the car made previously at Wyotech (on less boost nonetheless)... Furthermore, just going off what the dyno operator told me, having quite a few guys go directly to a dynojet the same day.. BickMack2012 has shown us a good example, even though it was on different days...

However, there's no arguing exactly whats been stated multiple times in this thread about the primary relavance of a dyno... myself, I'm not concerned with the number... i'm more interested in guaranteeing that i have a reliable tune, elminating (or ateast reducing to the highest possible extend) any detonation that could result in a mechanical failure... I don't race my car at the track, nor do i really go to any car shows... so numbers, regardless of type, are not something that has much relavance to me... its more about the thrill you get when you press the right pedal...

Dyno's are all about repeatability. Those who cant understand that need to pack it in. There is nothing wrong with a Mustang dyno as long as it's calibrated and used properly. Problem is most Mustang dyno owners/operators don't have a clue. This is why the Dynojet is the industry standard, it's pretty much idiot proof and as repeatable as it gets. How deflated or inflated the results are is irrelevant. Like Modular Mike said, it's a tool, one that can be used for many different things, not just tuning.

Mine was dynoed in different gears since we weren't able to lock out 4th at jsdyno. That being said even if it were dynoed in fourth at jsdyno i would of only picked up 20hp probably so i would of still been off 30-40hp from the dynojet. It was cooler the day i was on the dynojet so im sure that helped a bit. Mike was at jsdyno before the recalibration. I know for a fact there dyno is fully calibrated and someone was on the dyno right before and right after and it read lower after. But as stated its for tuning and finding out gains from mods. I just wanted to get a dyno number in the right gear since i will be checking gains from all my mods as i progress. Thats why i went to get it checked for a fourth gear pull since it would be closest to the 6r80 1:1. I have an o/r hpipe and tuner coming with a email tune already loaded onto it from a custom tuner So ill be getting the car dynoed to make sure the a/f ratio on the tune is good and ill post the results then. I'm about halfway saved up for my Forced induction so ill be taking my car to Wolfpack once i get it all installed so i can get a remote dyno tune from lund. Unless they give me a good price on the install then ill be paying them to install and tune it ;)

Basically if your wanting to get your car dynoed to show gains and make sure its safe to drive like me who dailys my car. I would pick one dyno and stick with it.

No, my post was not directed to you or anyone else that posted. I was agreeing with what ModularMike posted and adding a little to it. I read it all the time about this dyno and that dyno and thats what I get a kick out of and that no one ever says a dyno reads high its always the one reads low. Like it was said above its about repeatability. There is so much that can affect the numbers other then the machine itself. I have seen a big difference in numbers from a different person making the pull. Same day, time, car, machine etc, just change drivers and saw a very significant change.
