First kill of the year

Got my first one today. It was a new GTO. I thought those cars were quick. Guess not. This kid pulls up revving the hell out of it. I heat my tires up for a second just to let him know I mean business. The light turned green and I hesitated to see what he was going to do. Well, he took off like a bat outta hell. So I followed suit and quickly passed him. Actually, I kinda smoked the hell out of him. At the next light he said "Shoot bud, I was in second gear" HAHAHA says me. Lets do it again. This time I gave him even more distance. He turned off the next road and was never seen again. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I raced an 04 in my GT at the F.L.D's 2 years ago and killed him. Raced an 05 last year at the F.L.D.'s in my GT and he killed me. I guess that extra 50 ponies they had in 05 and 06 really helped.

Actually, I think his was an '04. Could have been an '05 but not sure. Looked kinda dirty and beat up.

Cool! You can tell an 05 and 06...they had hood scoops I believe

No scoups. Hood was smooth. I would love to get a Z06 but they are definatly outta my range!!! HAHAHAHA For now!!!!!!

I have driven a few GTOs over the last few years. Every time I get out 04/05/06 stick/auto I say the same thing. meh?

That's right, meh? I can't really put my finger on what's wrong. I guess it's big and heavy and it feels big and heavy and it's ugly to boot (hood scoops or not). But, it's such a wonderful powertrain. If GM would stuff that powertrain into a Grand Am - sized vehicle that weighed about 3,200lbs or less, it'd be great.

Driving my old mustang back to back with an '04 GTO stick, it definetley felt like the mustang would take it. I had a '97 with PI heads. It put 249HP to the wheels...and the 4.10's helped it feel quicker, too.

Mustang ~3,200 lbs / 249 RWHP = 12.8
Goat ~3,800 lbs / 300 RWHP = 12.7
