Help! Insurance towed my car to auction...andd

I agree with Randy. I bet they'll let you have it back for significantly less than $3500. I bet you could sell the motor and tranny for a few grand. Lots of people are looking to upgrade from stock cloth interior to leather, so that would be a relatively easy sale. At the end of the day you could scrap what is left and get the $$ from that. It does take some work, some space, and some time to do it, but if you end up a few grand to the good it could be worth it.

I'll certainly ask again as I agree with the motor/trans and leather seat value. It's scheduled to be delivered tomorrow morning. I'll keep everyone updated if my stuff is in and on the car. They already removed some parts that were salvageable in the photos from the auction link. For example the grill and foglights were not damaged in the accident. Curious to see if they are in the car..
