    The Origin Of the "Rice Burner"

    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bQptfdSCdhs&feature=player_embedded"]Japanese Ricer VIP Convention! - YouTube[/ame]

    I lived in Japan for 8 years before returning to the states. I saw stuff like that, but not as "crazy" as some of the stuff shown. I saw "bat vans" with 4 ft wings coming off the top of the vans. I don't know what it is about having big wings and long exhaust over there, but some of their cars have that crap on them.

    And that freaking reving of the motors used to drive me freaking crazy. The motorcycles and mopeds did it the most. You would be stopped at a stop light and thats all they would do. Or driving down the middle of town doing it...was plain stupid.

    ON another note, I actually did see some rather nice cars there.

    I have a new found respect for "ricers" here in the states..wow. I want to kill myself for having watched that, lmfao. @ 3:27, what even is that??

    2 cars I can name out of that, a 350Z and the RX8.

    I like the exhaust coming straight out of the hood like a demo Derby car and going over the whole top of the car...American rice is no where near that bad. Funny though, I didn't see any altezza taillights lol.

    OMG - that is some fugly stuff! Seems like their aftermarket only offers them one choice of front splitter, one rim style, one wing, one flare kit...and everyone bought it.

    There is no way those cars could go over 50 mph without the wind tearing pieces off...

    How did you like living in Japan? I was there in March for 10 days (and during the Earthquake) and I loved it, it's such a beautiful country.
