Camaro Beats Mustang

I was rather stunned to read this, must be a heck of a lot of these in some areas.

For the second year in a row, the Chevrolet Camaro has outsold the Ford Mustang. When the numbers were tallied, Camaro had sold 88,249 units, up 8.45% from last year, compared to Mustang’s 65,381, down 12% from last year. Challenger sales were down just 1% from last year, with 35,534 sales.

Might have to do with the fact there is literally dozens of camaros sitting on almost every GM lot. They are making crazy deals to get rid of them. I was offered a new camaro V6 fully loaded for under 20K. I didn't even haggle, that was the salesmanship opening offer lol

I noticed this the other day... went past the chevy dealer in somerset and there was 5 sitting out in front. I don't really see any more of one than the other on the highway.

I agree. There are no Mustangs on display/inventory at the local dealers. Plus, there was 6-7 years of no Camaro. That is a lot of pent of Chevy lovers that were deprived for a long time.

Ive seen 1 advertisement for the new mustang, and it was a 3.7. I havent seen that commercial for awhile now either. Never seen one for 5.0.....ever

They advertise the hell out of the new camaro

every fanboy thats ever existed were dying to get a new camaro after the long hiatus

and on top of all that the camaro isnt a POS and performs well

I really havent seen a lot of either on the road yet but i suppose we dont live in the right part of the country to see the bulk of the sales.

I had a guy tell me at work that a mustang was a "I have one too" car when comparing it to his camaro....guess he was wrong!

The town i live in has 1 new 5.0 and 1 new v6 mustang. It has 6 v6 camaros and no ss's. My guess would be the v6 camaro is why they outsold mustangs. Last car show i was at was littered with v6 camaros as well.

I love my new mustang but if they ever come out with a 2nd gen retro camaro id be all into it. Of course id have to swap a 13 shelby motor and trans in it.
