    Fuel PSI?

I noticed that when I would check my fuel psi that I was getting different numbers. One time it would be 36 and other times it would be 45 psi these numbers are with the vacum line off. It seems like when the motor is just started it is higher and after you drive it it drops. Is this normal or maybe a bad regulator or gauge? If it is normal which one do you use to set the psi?

well when you check the fuel pressure, you want to check it with the line off and then with the line on, you want to rev it up with the line on to ensure that is goes up while reving and then back down at idle, and the dropage is deff a problem, i would start with a new fuel filter, it is cheap and is never a bad idea, but if that is not it i would suspect a bad pump...

What FPR do you have? I had a billet BBK that wouldnt work what so ever. It was dropping pressure. Summit or Jegs ( I forget where I got it) sent me another one. This one didnt move at all with vac. Finaly I just baught a cheap Crane adjustable...has been working great for 5 years!

Thats funny that you said that because it is a BBK that I got from summit and I thought it was bad when I got it but I wasn't sure. Everything in the fuel system is new and thats is why I was confused. Has anyone used the kirban regulators from LMM?

    Thanks for the info.

Well I just got done installing a new aeromotive regulator, fired the car up set the psi to 42 with vac line off. Then I drove the car to put gas in it came back and checked it again and it dropped to 36 with vac line off.
I run a 255 intank pump with a T-rex helper pump. The car did this before I installed the t-rex and after. Anybody have a clue?

I ordered a new gauge it should be here in a couple of days. I was reading on aeromotives web site, and they said to never use a liquid filled gauge because they will read different from temp change. I'll let you guys know when I get the new gauge on.
