looks like its alil more than a gt500
    http://www.steelcitystangs.com/forum...ad.php?t=25864

And if you take in the 15% drivetrain loss that puts around 595 crank on dynojet and around 578 on the mustang dyno.

Whats the new gt500 run right out of showroom?

How much time in a given day do you spend searching for shelby hero times/hp and the slowest zl1 times/hp? Chevy should get a pfa against you

Well I'm waiting for some hero to drive a ZLfail... so far after a few tests and performance shops taking them to the track 12.5-12.9 in the 116-117mph range seems the norm. GM said it would go 12.1@119

I might be interested in the wheels Cam. Would they come with tires? If so, how's the tread on the tires?

The fronts are complete with the stock pirelli's with excellent tread, the rears have no tires. I used the 275/40/20's from the back on the new wheels, however the tps sensors are still mounted on the rims and I have lugs, so all you need are a set of back tires. I bought a set of haida z rated tires from kings tire for the front new rims and they were only 135 a piece. I am going to put them on craigslist for 750, but I'd sell them to a board member for 650. The rims are excellent, no rash or anything. They are also the midnight silver color because my car is an RS, so they are a little nicer than the plain silver on the non-RS cars.

Upper, cai, tune, skinnys, drag radials. We can certainly agree these are common mods that alot of zl1's will have, just like cobra's do. Not at atco either! lol

That's not bad for all thats done but I still must ask why they are a lot slower than GM says they are supposed to be stock?

I'm sure some faster stock times will come out now that the cars are being delivered. The auto that hennessy has shows a terrible drop in HP around 4500 rpm on the dyno sheet they posted, so maybe gm has a crap tune in it that's pulling a bunch of timing at higher rpm? I dunno. The reality is in the gt500 - zl1 wars at this time, the gt500 is always going to be much harder to beat because of the forged motor. The zl1 guys are going to have to rebuild forged if they really want to try and be king of the hill IMHO

They'd look great on my G8, but after some searching it seems like I'd need a different size tire to fit my car. The whole reason I was interested in a wheel/tire deal since I'll need tires soon anyways. So I'll have to pass. GLWS
