GoPro Video Camera's

I'm considering picking up a GoPro type camera. Looking to get the HD Motorsports version. A few questions for those that have them or knowledge on them ...

Is the "2" version (~$300) worth $100.00 more than the normal HD version (~$200)?

How about the video display screen? Worth the purchase? How do you line it up without that?

Any other suggested options, add on, or other ways to get the function in a nice price package? (seem like a lot of extra stuff I might not use on the motorosports package).

Any alternate brands or things that I should look at? Not looking to get into a cheap set-up, but want to get the most bang for my $$$'s

paul has one and it works great and the picture quality is awesome even when its mounted on his helmet

Might want to look into a Contour. ESP if you have an iPhone, iPad, or android phone. They have an app that makes those the view finder. The Contour mounts are nerdier and superior to the go pro's. I broke a go por mount the first time I tightened it down. I have a contour HD and love it. Super simple to use and grat picture quality. The contour also has alignment beams so you know the picture is right side up.
