PEOPLE HAVE MORE FUN THAN ANYONE
The other big one that sticks out in my mind is that they dont cancel for rain in Ohio anymore. Now they dont cancel until rain actually falls from the sky and if its not a down pour and the radar looks good they have even been drying the track. But yet someone will post at some point this year that PRP cancel when it rains on monday even though they have improved that aspect greatly. This is why I get annoyed
Yes, PRP is no where near perfect and have areas to improve but thats not just going to happen over night and if people cant see that they have been improving then I guess they are the glass half empty people.
The only thing I wish for which could happen, but who knows and would cost ALOT of money is to lengthen the track for a bigger shut down and get some NMRA/NMCA series races in there. To me that would be awesome, not only to participate but to spectate as well.
They had a NMCA in 2003
Yeah I would like to see them get some different series at the track. I dont think that there is any plan to lengthen the track at this time. I think their plans have changed but Like I said anything I post is just word of mouth. I dont think the shut down is the reason some of those series dont come to PRP because there has been very fast cars down that track you just have to blow the chutes. I personally think them putting in showers will make it better and attract racers to travel to PRP for those types of series.

Not only did I fail at building a fast mustang but I bought a yellow zo6 cause I couldn't get my little dick up.
...think ur right on that Mikey! Here's some fast passes for yunz, pretty much some of the fastest passes I've ever witness't their!! I think they were wantin to make a full 1/4 mile pass too!!! Heck I think they were still in it past it anyway!

Balaska is 100% correct in his posts.
For Erics89gt, you can click the link to see that the entry prices went up $5 across the board:
http://www.pittsburghracewaypark.com.../entry-payouts
Pretty moderate, in my opinion, especially for all the track improvements that have occurred and will be occurring.
From what I understand, the entrance road off of Stone Jug will not be paved. HOWEVER... the new entrance from the 2011 season, directly off of Route 22, that brings you in by the playground on the right lane side, is going to be paved. Once I get confirmation on that, I'll post again.
PRP has 1700' of shutdown. Nitro cars were able to stop... the jet dragsters go 290mph in the 1/4, and they stop. Jeff Lutz, in the '57 Chevy at 2010 Drag Week, went 7.0x at 200mph, no chute, big heavy car, and got it stopped hundreds of feet from the beach.
PRP is at the very least, a good local track. I think it's even better than that, and rising.
That sucks they raised the prices I didnt know that. They havent been raised for a couple years though and atleast they are putting some money into the track. Oh well.
i love that place where else can you go its better than sitting in the walmart parking lot hell i even went bracket racing twice this year. the only thing i missed this year was the little guy with the stringy mullet riding wheelies on his mini bike hoping and praying he would just flip it over.
That was the reasoning i eard that the nmra and nmca werent interested, but i only heard that. Is there any reasoning why there isnt?
Heard not having scales was a problem for the nmra/nmca type event.

This is exactly why I got into racing. I did the car cruise scene for a few years, but it got boring fast. I like my car show at 1/4 mile speeds, where I can't get a ticket.
That little guy, I feel, is someone PRP missed last year. He went out to Quaker to work last year. Doug worked hard as I've seen anyone work at any job, any place. If something needed done, didn't matter what it was, he'd do it. If he got to relax a little or blow off some steam by riding out a wheelie, that was fine by me.
