Help Me Pleasee!!!

My mustang has a problem and i dont know what to do! Yesterday I took it out for a quick trip to Mt. Pleasant. I was almost there when I started smelling gas HORRIBLY. I stopped and poped the hood. the smell of gas around the engine was overwhelming:( But here is the crazy part I could NOT see gas leaking from anywhere, not on the motor or on the ground. I decided i should go home. the trip home sucked it smelled like someone spilled a 5 gallon gas can in the cab, the smell was coming through the vents. when i got it home i put it in the garage and poped the hood. I shut off the engine and once again the gas smell was terrible, i turned the key back on and noticed the fuel pump sounded rather loud. i loosend the gas cap and there seemd to be alot of pressure in the tank, i do not remember the cap hissing at all before. the cap doesn't hiss on any other car i have when i remove the cap. and another crazy thing, the car ran perfectly fine. Rodeheaver's or anyone else out there that can help me figure out whats wrong pleaseee help

Check your injectors, one may be leaking and it would be hard to see.

It only take a small fuel leak to make a big smell. That small of a leak might not affect performance but aint safe. Fuel tends to evaporate very quickly when is drips on hot parts. Try to get it to do it cold. That will help you track it down. just keep cycling the key with out starting it. Check everywhere. Most common to be at a seal, or if you have a hard line rubbing anywhere. Do you have sub frame connectors on the car?
