    Trans Temp.

For Christmas i got the B&M Hammer shifter. My questions are, What is the normal operating temperature for an auto in a '97 gt with (what i believe is) the AODE? (not positive) Since i will be doing more "manual" operation with the shifter should i get a gauge to keep an eye on my trans temp? Or will this shifter not make a difference enough to worry about?

Trans is all stock with 138k if that makes any difference.

    Thanks,
    Shawn.

The shifter shouldn't have an effect on the trans temp but a gauge is never a bad idea

Transmission is a 4r70w. As long as you aren't downshifting the trans hard you will be fine.
