When were the years a roller cammed 351W was offered in Ford trucks? I believe 1995 time frame but I'm not sure.
Also would anyone remember the year the Ford Explorer has GT40 heads installed and not GT40P heads?

Roller 351's started in 94/95
gt40 heads were used until mid 97 year, and from then on the gt40p heads were on the 5.0 explorer/mountaineers

1998 was the first year for the gt40p's.
Any 351w can be made into a roller block. All of them easily accept roller cams, its the lifters that are different. You could have any pre '94 block drilled and tapped to accept the "spider" bracket to hold regular roller lifters(which the >'94 blocks already have), or purchase retrofit roller linked lifters from Crane or similar company. The retro lifters are about $400 though.
the link bar lifters are deff your easiest approach, tapping the valley and finding the correct lifters proves to be a task as i have done it before and everytime i try and find the correct part number it seems to have changed a little and i order the parts and the lifters are to short or something stupid like that ...
2015 A6 Mustang GT that so far has gone 9.48@147 but still the fastest prochargerd S550 in the world aside from Tim Essick's!

I think the non P heads had 3 bars on the driver side head facing the rad.
I think the 93-96 ford truck 351s had roller blocks

I don't know why people obsess on roller motors, the 93-95 L's were flat tappet as were the 95 Cobra R. If it's good enough for Ford, it's good enough for me.
Pretty much any 351 after '86 is an HO motor; All sticking with a roller block does is either limit your cam selection OR you end up running a flat tappet anyway. It's a wash.
