My wife and I just switched to Verizon. We've had "ATT/then Cingular/then the now new ATT" for over 6 years. I use a TON of minutes for work (>3000 peak minutes), and my work doesn't reimburse me. ATT always treated me as a valued customer and every time I needed a new phone, it was free of charge due to the number of minutes I use. Well, when it became Cingular those days were gone. Right when I was going to switch recently, I went to Cingular and asked them what kind of promotions etc they had for me. The girl looked me straight in the eye and said "Well Mr. Riva, because of your volume you can get a new phone for the 2yr contract price on a 2yr commitment." I looked puzzled at her for a moment and said, OK but why is that special? Any Joe off the street could walk in and get the same plan and she simply said "Yes, you are right." LOL! I walked out of there and straight to Verizon. Verizon went the extra mile to get my business. I called Cingulars customer service to give them one more shot at keeping my business and they wouldn't do a thing for me. I think they said they'd offer me a $20 credit on my next bill to offset the price of a new phone.

Coverage with Cingular for the most part was consistent. I knew exactly when and where I would drop a call. Verizon's coverage out here is by far better. I travel from ~Centre to ~Somerset county and in the 2 months I've had Verizon I bet my dropped call number had been decreased by 90%. I now have a Motorola Q too and I can even get on here when I'm out and about now. :)

we would like verizon so we simply have one bill for phone, cell,tv,dsl but verizon cell service isnt available in this part of WV yet.
Same reason I don't have Verizon. I went to switch from Sprint to Verizon back in November, but didn't cause I couldn't keep my same #. I still have my # from when I was at WVU and I don't feel like changing it. I still get 25% off of my Sprint bill from a job that I had like 3 years ago anyways . I've had Sprint for 4 or 5 years now I think and I really like it.

+1 on the Q. I got the Sprint Q and I have the unlimited data plan so I have the net wherever I go, and it's the high speed broadband here in Pgh, so I use it for my internet access at home too. I've dl'd stuff at around 150k while using my cell as a modem. I didn't think it would be that fast, but it's awesome. Plus it's nice and thin, unlike my old phone, so I can put it in my front pants pocket and not look like I'm overly excited to see you

You have to be joking, I have both Cingular and Verizon cell phones and in Somerset county Verizons coverage is only about 1/2 of Cingulars. I've allready watched my boss try and call out on his Verizon phone and after about 5 minutes of nothing I ask "what's the number" dial it and hand him my phone. Get away from 219 or Somerset and see what Phone works.

Verizon for 8? years. I live in the sticks and get signal. Wasnt great years ago{like all others} , but is good now. Do not get a Razr. I went back to Motorola {damn razr} after i had a Audiofox{only 2nd phone} first was Motorola Startac{got 4+years out of it}. I have to take my Razr in for service, and hope to get a new phone. Maybe Krazr?
