Ok - I guess that is safe if you ran your car that way? I didn't know if the spacers would seat against each other properly...or if that would cause them to crack/break??

If nothing else, I guess I could test-fit the front wheels by using two 1/4" spacers.

I never had any issues. I torqued the wheels often though.

    2007 Shelby Rims Tires 18 x 9.5 all around

    front tires - 255/45/18 ( 27.04 tall 10.04 wide )

    rear tires - 285/40/18 ( 26.98 tall 11.22 wide )

I believe the backspacing on the rims is 7.125 inches

    I'm thinking a 1/2 inch spacer in the front ( maybe 1/4 or 3/16 )...
and 1/4 inch or 3/8 in back to clear the parking brake cables.

A friend has these, so I get to test fit them before I buy them.

I didn't realize those wheels were 9.5" wide....

I don't see the front fitting inside the wheel well on a SN95...going to be close.

Post pics of the test fit. :)

Thanks, but I picked up two 5/16" spacers that should do the trick in the rear ( fingers crossed ). And in the front I'm thinking I will need 1/2" spacers ( per a guy on corral that test fit a set of these a while back ).

Got the garage pretty much cleaned up tonight - what a freakin mess it was. Hope to bring the Cobra home in the next 2 days and start cleaning her up for spring.

I hear ya John - it is going to be close. I'll take some before and after photos. The Cobra R's on the car now are 17 x 9's and are not all the way out to the front fender lip, so hopefully with the right spacer these rims will fit. And the tires currently on the car are 255/40/17, the same width as the 255/45/18 Shelby tires. Of course, the Shelby tires are taller ( almost 2 inches ), but that's just 1" of additional ride height - and I won't mind that, as the headers on the car are just a tad low and a little extra clearance wouldn't be a bad thing. Hopefully I can end up with just enough clearance and avoid any rubbing under full lock.

I think the 285/40/18's in the rear will look great compared to the 255/40/17's currently on the car. Seems like there is plenty of room in the back to go wider.

If it makes you feel any better, I ran a 17x10.5 with a 315 Hoosier A6 on the front of my 95 with no problems. They hit in the rear bad, but the front had plenty of room. Much shorter tire though, and I was running 3 degrees of negative camber.

Thanks Mark - I saw that you had a 315 on there. Holy crap that's wide! Didn't know what other goodies you had on that car, but it is good to know that it can be done! Hopefully it'll work out - I'll let yinz guys know!
