The time has come to replace the clutch, flywheel, tob. What do you suggest? We run the car 2000 miles a year,7-10 Tnt's a year.450 rwhp,I know a 26 slpine would be better, but worth the $350.00?Would a aluminum flywheel be good at the drags?
Thanks
Pat.

Pat,
Love the RAM power grip HD with a steel flywheel! Getting ready to install this exact set for another customer soon. Clutch works, totally streetable, had the same setup in one of my old terminators. If your not crushing the tires to hard and never plan on taking the eaton off, just stay 10 spline...

For what it's worth, when i added a whipple to my old '04 i tried to be proactive and upgraded to 26 spline and a spec 3+. Not saying the 26 spline was a bad upgrade, but opting to remove a perfectly good stock clutch in replace with a spec 3+ was a terrible move on my part. Car was never as much fun to drive. I had a friend that upgraded to a whipple as well but left their clutch stock... never had any issues but obviously that is pushing the limits there.
Just make sure you know what you are in for if you swap from a stock clutch to something else. Given the chance again I would pursue some of my other ideas that nobody could confirm or deny such as a GT500 clutch or Z06 clutch since both are streetable, hold good power and utilize a 26 spline. (if anyone can confirm or deny those options for a bolt in replacement on the 03/04's, I would great appreciate the resolution.)
I am not knocking the huge aftermarket options out there, but just offering up my $0.02 to be sure what your chosen clutch may do to the car.
Looking for another 03/04. PM me if you have one for sale!

I am still on a stock clutch but will be upgrading to 26 spline since I plan on launching the shit out of my car this year haha. I have heard a lot of good things about Pro Motion clutches and will probably be giving them a try.

im 26spline. Had a centerforce DF. Hated the clutch bad. It seemed to hold up decent but paired with the fidanza aluminum flywheel it didnt like the drag strip when i took it. Also the clutch pedal effort was very stiff, and just didnt have any feel to it.
Just finished installing a McLeod RXT twin disk in it. The pedal effort with it is lite, Like crazy lite. But its a pricey clutch and rated for 1000hp.
If you have the extra money I would upgrade to a 26spline shaft, as well as replace your TOB retainer sleeve. They are prown to crack. Plus if you plan on keeping the car you never know what power mods you might do in the future with stickier tires.
