Who got involuntarily volunteered to work tomorrow?

Working tomorrow does not bother me. I've been at this place for 14 years (3 different owners) and I think I've worked every Good Friday.

I really don't mind. HOWEVER; it's a skeleton crew. Usually 2 people instead of 8 and I'm always one of the 2 that gets volunteered. OK, still not so bad. The boss says he'll give us a comp day we can take any time, but there's nothing in writing and he always tries to forget about this when you ask him.

So, am I (or are you poor suckers) the good company man I think I am or am I just dumber and a lot slower on the draw than the rest of my co-workers?

I feel like Peter from Office Space when that A$$hat boss asks him to work on Saturday.... oh and Sunday, too.

I'm gonna drink myself silly tonight and walk in there feeling/looking/acting like a real sh1thead tomorrow.... cause guess what nobody (the boss or his boss) is going to be there to do anything about it.

I'm going to have a piece of bread and few bottles of wine in honor of the Last Supper !!!

working friday....24/7 lab...blood doesn't test itself....:p, but my supervisor is off....but we may have an inspection tomorrow, so she gave me a million little things to do....

Off every New Years day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving day + day after, Christmas Day. If any other then Good Friday fall on a weekend then we get either friday or monday off.

I only work 1/2 day on Fridays so not only did I get today off, I get 4 hrs of floating holiday - which my manager made me promise to take on a NICE day. (He has a bike so he UNDERSTANDS.)

My manager will be gone for 2 weeks so the 3 of us are having "RobFest". Actually, we work our butts off more when he's not there. My salary sucks, but the fringe benefits are nice.
