    Laptop/Networking Question?

So my work has a back up wireless internet service running in case the hard lined internet server goes down. They have recently given me a laptop for me to take home for when im working in the field. The laptop they gave me has the password to the back up wireless internet in it. What I would like to do is some how figure out what the password is so i can put it in my iPhone/iPad for when im in the office. Any insight would be great.

Not going to be quite that easy. Is the "backup" even Wifi? It could be a 3g/4g connection built into the laptop.

Not going to be able to figure it out. Even if you did crack it, the network admins would have likely locked down the network to specific MAC addresses, and if they didn't they would be still able to see an unauthorized MAC address on the network.
In short, if your network team has half a mind then don't even try it.

EDIT: Your best bet is to just ask your network admin to set up your iPad. If they say no then no harm done.

    You can try
    http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/wireless_key.html

But it looks like its saved in the intel app not windows. Best bet is to ask your admin, don't want to piss them off.

If the wireless key is saved in Windows, you can just go into where you originally entered it and click on "show characters" and it'll have the key in there.

If it looks good, you'll see it. If it sounds good, you'll hear it. If it's marketed right, you'll buy it. But if it's real, you'll feel it. IG: @donuttrump
