Just bought a new cobra.. and it has problems

Hi, i Just bought my first Mustang and it happen to be a Whipple Cobra, we bought the car out in Dayton Ohio and drove it back. On the way home we stopped for gas and i noticed antifreeze leaking. we popped the hood and antifreeze was bubbling out from the cap on the Black tank on the right. But when driving the car it went fine. We got home and it happened again. theres no sign of smoke from the exhaust, and my one friend said he saw oil with in the antifreeze. The fans didnt seem to come on either and the car didnt over heat until we made it all the way home and then it only took a short drive maybe 3 min and it started to over heat. Could a head gasket be messed up? temperature gauge stuck? Fans not working properly? i just don't know what to do. Also any recommendations for someone who could look and found out?

    Many Thanks in Advance,
    Lizik9

Deff. head gasket. Alot of shops can test for hydrocarbons in the coolant. Where are you from?

Welcome to SCS, In the Pittsburgh area you have a couple different options for great shops to take a look at it.

Street Lethal Performance - New Castle, Pa

Wolfpack Speed - Moon twp, Pa

They all have a ton of experience with Terminators. Do you have any of the receipts for the work that was done or have the dyno sheet? It is not uncommon for the fans to stop working on the Terminators. There are quite a few write ups on svtperformance.com about it that I have read. Definitely get it looked at by a reputable shop and go from there. There are also a ton of guys on here more knowledgeable than I am that might be able to help you out. Best of Luck. Post some pics of the car!

If it's got an electric water pump, make sure it's wired correctly. The retards that did the work on my first GT before I bought it ground it to the fuel rail.

I didn't even see them actually, But I don't have receipts for the extra parts the guy put on, I have a list of things that he said were on it. I just need someone that can find anything and everything wrong with it,

Yea the fans are notorious for breaking down on the terminators... I would definitely get it out to a shop for some testing to see what is up with it.

If it looks good, you'll see it. If it sounds good, you'll hear it. If it's marketed right, you'll buy it. But if it's real, you'll feel it. IG: @donuttrump

If you don't already have AAA Plus ( up to 100 miles free towing ) I'd get it now. You'll have to wait 10 days or so from the time you join until you submit a "claim" to flatbed the car to one of the shops noted. Still, it'll be worth the cost. Definitely don't drive it any additional distance in case it overheats again.

Sorry about your luck Ryan. I went to see this car at his house and one of the catch cans was filled with creamy brown oil almost looked like a iced cappuccino from starbucks. Figured it was a blown HG but was hoping not ! Hope you get this resolved with the fraudulent seller that lied to you.

That sucks. Usually svtp is pretty solid on issues like this. Report this to lightning larry on there. Maybe they can post a sticky about this transaction.
