Fox'vert rear window problems

Swapped a new (to me) top this afternoon. Went rather painless...much better than I expected. I installed it frame and top together.

The top was used and came with a plastic and glass rear window. The problem I am having is with the zipper from the original plastic window. It appears as though the zipper should be stitched under the last rail that goes across the rear. My zipper is falling down....normally that can lead to fun!! But this time it looks like work!!

I'd like to use the glass window...it also came with a strip of fabric with a zipper attached but I have no idea how it would go in to replace the one that is falling out. Can I take it to someone to be restiched, can I fix it myself??
