Angry Tire shop f'd up my brand new wheel, what would you do?

I took my front Weld RTS wheels to a tire shop in Penn Hills to have my MH tires mounted. Picked them up a little before they closed on Saturday and when I unloaded them from my trunk I saw this. *I'm pissed that I didn't look them over before I left the shop. These are brand new never used wheels BTW.

They were closed today so I'm going back in the morning to complain. If this happened to you would you be happy with the wheel being repaired or demand a brand new wheel? *I really doubt they are going to offer to buy me a new $600 wheel, especially since they knew they ****ed it up and hoped that I wouldn't see it or care.

My buddy told me if they don't replace it, I could take them to small claims court. Anyone ever do this?

Also when I dropped the wheels off they had polished valve stem covers and caps and they are missing now.

you can deffinetly take them to small claims court, they should replace, not just repair the wheel

I'll play devils advocate here, how can you prove if it goes to small claims court that they did it. Obviously the wheels/tires are new but you left the shop. Just saying I'd be livid, but unless they fess up idk what you could do in court.

    Keep us posted!

My God - they really f'd that up. I hope they make things right for you, and by that I mean they should replace the wheel and the valve stems. And they should can whoever tried to mount that tire.

Good luck - those wheels will look great once they're on the car.

Oh my....If you still have the reciept for wheels that would show they're new and by looking at the damage you can see it wasn't a curb that did it.....the way the lip is bent out.

Good luck either way, that sucks.

It looks like they took the tire back off after being mounted. The tool should never touch the rim. Musta had a kid mount them. You may be shafted..honestly. since you left that is. They were probably sweating bullets while you picked them up. When you left they jumped for joy.

    That sucks!

I was worried about that when I bought my wheels (not nearly as expense as yours), so I bought them mounted and balanced. One wheel actually showed up damaged from mounting and they sent out a replacement wheel and tire.

    Good luck Nate.

Man what a hack on those wheels, I would be livid for sure!

I'm betting the tire shop will play the ole' "30 seconds or 30 feet" card and say it didn't look that way when it left the shop, at which point I would probably bury the wheel through the nearest window of the shop...

Best of luck with them and I hope you get it squared away! Is this the first time you've used that shop or have you dealt with them before?

If it looks good, you'll see it. If it sounds good, you'll hear it. If it's marketed right, you'll buy it. But if it's real, you'll feel it. IG: @donuttrump

Looks like they used a crowbar to pry up the tire edge. That divot should match a crowbar in their shop.

No. Crow bars are round. That's the same size and shape as the spoon they use to DISMOUNT the tire. The tire was taken off after mounted for some reason. You can clearly see 3 marks in the wheel in the top pic.

Bottom line, he is screwed. He left without inspecting it.

Unfortunately, I think your right. I'm sure that wheel wasn't cheap, and they won't fess up.

Name of shop so others don't get screwed?

    I have a crow bar that's hex?

I don't think just because he left he's screwed.

Putting the wheels and tires in your car and leaving doesn't equal signing a waiver of claims against the store for their piss-poor work.
