    Truck shop?

    Hey everyone,

Still pretty new to the area. Looking to help a buddy out with some work on his 2011 F150 (simple stuff wheels, exhaust, maybe intake). However, having owned mustangs all my life, I have no idea what kinda stuff is the right first moves. Anyone have any recommendations for website to purchase stuff for DIY jobs or know of any local speed shops specializing in trucks?

Sidenote: Picked up the 93 Cobra a few weeks ago, still working on getting plates and registrations. Will post pics once she makes it out of the garage. Looking forward to meeting some fellow stang nuts...

I've never used them, but there's an offroad shop in New Ken - Bigfoot Offroad.

f150forum has tons of info. There's a good sticky for tire/wheel fit guide. I haven't tried an intake on my 12, I had one on my old 05 and when I uninstalled it I didn't notice any loss of power. In my opinion they're just not worth it on the newer engines unless you're trying to squeak out every last oz of power. I'd spend the money on a tuner instead. I've got a 5.0 and found the power to be pretty good so far, good enough that I haven't got the bug to try and add to it.

I've leveled mine out and a few other minor things...still trying to convince the wife we gotta ditch the Pirelli's for something a little taller/meatier.

Sounds good. Ive had her out twice since I got a plate and got tickets both times. Once for really opening it up on 60 the first time out and just got a ticket for the tint today (was planning on removing it anyway)... Ughhhh.

My next issue is figuring out if the 5-lug turbines I just bought will rub when I put them on. Any wheel/rear end gurus know abt 93 cobra axle swaps? Seems a previous owner did some kind of bastardized 5-lug conversion that involved drilling new holes in 4-lug rotors. Pretty confused and I feel like CSI Hopewell ain't gonna figure it out. Guess there's always trial and error.

Thanks for the info on the truck stuff guys.
