    help needed....sand blasting

Looking for some advice on who to contact about some sandblasting I need done.

I recently bought some older scaffold frames that show their age and I was wondering if there is anywhere that would blast them for a resonable price. Anybody ever had big items blasted before?

Call that mobile guy I used, they will come to your house. And be in and out. Tell him Barry with the mustang hood referred you, might give you a good deal. Phone number and website are in the thread I started about them if your interested.

My suggestion would be go to Harbor Freight, buy a blaster, get some play sand and have fun.

I thought about it. I got 12 frames though. Would make a hell of a mess. I don't even know how much sand it would take....Lol.

A 50 lb. bag is only about $4 at Lowes. It would not take as long as you think.

DO NOT USE PLAY SAND, play sand is not suitable for blasting. Silica in the sand is very harmful and can cause mild to sever breathing problems.

You can get made for blasting materials just as cost effective.

Try Envirosafe on Neville Island, I don't know if they are still there, but I had used them years ago.

Rocky Mountain garage in the New Stanton area is a good place, they also offer primer / painting services.

I actually just called there and the woman I talked to said $105/Hour for blasting plus cost of materials. She said they can blast ALOT in that time frame....I might just haul the junk out there.

Yeah they seem to be a nice place. I actually found another place about 45 minutes closer to me that will do the work for the same price so thats the only reason I'm staying local. Going to New Stanton twice id be looking at $100 in gas!
