    Auto crossing at P.I.R.C

Did my 1st Auto Crossing event at PIRC (Beaverun) yest. Had a blast! It was very well organized. If you've never done it you need to sometime before you die. They're having 8 more out there this season. It costs $40.00 and you can run as many times as you like. I think i had 9 or 10 runs in and i could have had more but had to leave. I got better each time out, buy the end of the night i had improved my time by 5 seconds from my 1st time out. Car did very well, even did a little drifting a couple times.

Anyone that has been there knows how bad the entrance road was to get in there. Not anymore! The road is freshly paved and they are making lots of improvements out there. I was told the guy that bought it wants to see it thrive before he dies. I was told there even getting ready to build the South track.... Finally!

Thank you for supporting the event. Hope you come out to some of the full ones, the event you attended was more of a test and tune. Sam Strano designed all of the courses for the T+T's though, so I hear some very good things about them. Did you happen to get a chance to ride with anyone up there? Mark Andy is a very good guy to get some pointers from.

Yeah Mark, i rode with a guy that had an old Civic hatch (I forget his name). He took me out to show me the course and what to do.

I will be at the next one out there on May 12th, and i'm bringing a couple of friends with me. One has an 03 Lightning and the other has an 05 Mustang GT, with some suspension work.

    Did i mention i had a blast!:D

With places like PIRC, who the hell needs Kennywood!!

Great to hear the entry road is fixed - damn was it bad before - I had to slalom the whole way in so my '66 wouldn't scrape!

I'd love to get a trailer for my ranger and go to events like this. Fear of breaking something looms over my head.

In all honesty Barry, its really not all that hard on the car. I was in 2nd gear almost the hole course. It might be a little hard on the tires and brakes but no worse then doing a long smokey burn-out.
