Weighing in at near 200 lbs. 20 reps with no help from spotter is the best I have ever done. Brady Quinn is up in the weight. Isn't he around the 230# range?

Yeah I think he weighed in for the combine at around 225. I'm way more fast twitch muscle so I'm more of a lift a shitload of weight one or two times as opposed to moderate weight a bunch of times. At least that's what I tell myself lol.

Yeah man, I hear ya on that. The threshold is very clearly defined for me as well. I'm like that was light I'll move up 5 lbs. and low and behold it burries me.

I was into doubling and tripling higher weights for a while. I'm more into 8-10 rep ranges with all compound exercises now. I keep most of the mass builders incorporated into the workouts. Squats, bench (incline/flat), seated military, olympic bar curls, close grip triceps, gave up on deads, now pull-downs and one-arm dumb-bell rows are the staple for latissimus development.

Try to do 1-2 bodyparts per visit. Usually pairing antagonist muscle groups. (Hey it worked for the Arnold) I just can't seem to get as big though. I *think* it has something to do with protein assimilation and that stuff they say is illegal.:)

    Bench

Today maybe 5 times if my shoulders hold out. Back in the day before wife, kids and mortgage use to warm up with 300 about 20-25 reps.Best ever was 395 one rep and I weighed in at 195.All I have is bad shoulder joints and a bunch of trophies to show for it. Funny how life works and priorities change.

My max was 335 (I weighed 220). I am 170 as of an hour ago. I work out with 185-225 now. If I could guess, 225 about 13-15 times if I am fresh????
