    Are you sitting down?

Because phillysrt4 actually pulled the trigger on a mustang!

Its a mustang v6 mustang of america club edition (203A package). Not the suspension package but it has some nice features to make driving more comfortable. Since this will be doing some DD duty I don't mind the interior perks.

Silver with slate interior. Here's a few pics:

This car is so much fun its unreal! I want wait to get rid of the all seasons and get some sticky tires on it.

LOL you know it! This is the purchase I should have made in 2004 instead of the SRT, but i may not have met so many cool people that hang out here on SCS if I had.

Thanks. I've had a penchant for blue but the silver really works for me.

The level of refinement in the interior versus the 99-04's (i've sat in quite a few thanks to cam99) is amazing. I also test drove a fiest, focus, and fusion so how anyone can say that Ford interiors dont stack up to imports is smoking some serious crack.

I'm going out for an evening cruise tonight. Its going to be a pleasant 10 degrees this evening so I have to get out there on the road and enjoy the free tank of gas :)

its already on the way :) LOL..

nah j/k. I want to enjoy it normally aspirated for a while. Where I live a mid 13 car is reasonably fast so no need to go crazy... yet...

I also found out something interesting about my area. Its a relatively small community and people who work at dealerships show up at the local track. If they see you've raced your new car they void your warranty, so its probably best to keep things on the low key at least for this summer

Sounds like you need to buddy-up with the guys at the dealership then. :)

I dont think they have spotters at local tracks so they can void your warranty that's just stupidity

track. Theres only one within about a 2 hour drive I think, so its the hangout for everyone who races. People who work at all the dealerships show up because they like cars and seeing how they do.

it was a friend of a friend (well, a coworker of mine had a friend) that took his civic si to the track to see what it would do and someone from the Honda dealership was there and voided his warranty (this is small town living where everyone knows everyone, blah blah blah). So who knows. If my coworker is willing to drive 5 hours just to race his new civic Si so that nobody knows him there might be a grain of truth to the story.

    fo sho!

I already got the green light for the typical NA mod package (intake, headers, exhaust, gears, 91 octane tune). They said they only time they really have an issue with the warranty is if you do anything between the intake and the exhaust headers.

Thanks! The wheels were a nice selling point for me too. The 204A package car had 19" wheels which had the bullet look with black spokes and silver rim. I didn't like them both in style and the fact they were 19's. The options for 18" tires are far more plentiful and not so hard on the wallet just in case you don't like the rubber you're on (which I dont. These Pirelli P Zero Nero all season tires just don't have the grip I expected. Either that or the suspension is so different than what I'm used to that I have to learn where it likes to take lines through corners.

Bob: I know it sucks that I got a v6... I mean with forged parts (and from what I understand its the same block as in the taurus SHO twin turbo) there's just no way I can make any power with that sucka ;)
