Talking Turbo Focus got new shoes: 235/40-17 BFGs on 17x7.5 Kazera KZ-P

These are just initial pictures. I have not pulled/rolled the fenders yet so I dismounted the wheels after the trial mount.
Pictures absolutely do not do justice. I'll get better photos outside the garage after I roll the fenders and the suspension is at proper settled height. Current wheel gap is exaggerated due to just jacking up the car.
    Initial thoughts:
I LOVE these wheels! They are gorgeous and the 45mm offset is perfect. 48mm would also work fine. I don't anticipate the paint to be very durable, but I'm OK with that seeing as I keep satin black paint on the shelf at all times. :D
I expected the spokes to stick out (which I didn't particularly want), but they are flush with the fat tires - perfect!
New tires are ~9" wide vs. 7.5" stock! (see photo)

Look forward to more photos and details later. Sorry I can't provide a real-world review yet, but look forward to it.

very cool choice!!! when i had the SRT I would have killed to be able to fit 235's effectively. I'm sure the traction is going to be much improved over the stockers.

Keep us updated with the real world test!

That would be awesome. An 05-07 sonic blue zx5 ses is really rare as is, let alone modified.

    Update:
I put around 600 miles on the new setup this weekend. The fronts don't rub at all and the rears rub a bit but nothing major (no cutting). I did roll/pull the fenders out 1/4" up front and didn't measure the back. I'll go ahead and roll the lips more on the rear.
As for the tires, they are fantastic. The traction is amazing. The 205/50-16 I ran for years I could light up accidentally. Now to get even a squeak from the 235's it takes full boost.
Gas mileage did suffer some. I lost a solid 1mpg, from 31mpg highway to 30mpg. Throw in a few mountains and it's more like 28.5mpg.

I'm still quite happy with the wheels, but I can't speak yet about longevity.

    More photos:

    Rears rubbing:

    And a cell phone pic:

Thanks all. Just bought a Garrett GT2871R to replace the little Tbird IHI turbo along with some forged goodies. :)
I'm not sure what I'll accomplish with 400fwhp, but I'm going to find out. This focus has been a surprisingly fun toy between stangs.

Does the focus have some sort of limited slip diff? Otherwise you must be the king of the one-wheel peels!!

Car really looks great - and you're running 13s and getting really nice mileage. Pretty impressive combo.

No factory limited slip. Torsen, Quaiffe and Kazz make LSDs for them. I'll run the Torsen when I move to the high psi build. The Quaiffe and Kazz are more full-race and higher dollar than I desire.
    Thanks for the complement!
