Wow - drugs must have been a LOT better in the '70s...

If the body is REALLY solid and the drivetrain is sound then maybe maybe maybe it's a $9,000 car on a good day. Most of that nasty stuff ( Cragars, sidepipes, spring shackles, traction bars ) can be unbolted and trash-canned in an afternoon. I love the look of the 1969's - they're some of the best-looking cars that ever came from the factory.

What clue am I missing to tell it's really a '69? My main way is to see if it has 2 headlights on each side = '69.

I think those are Keystone Klassics? Haven't seen them in a long long long time. The wild thing is, there are nostalgia racers who will give a decent buck if they're doing a build for a period look. I sold a pair of 15x4 Cragar SS wheels for $100 because the buyer was doing a resto to the 70s look.

Yep - you're right - those are Keystone Classics.

'69 taillights were raised from the taillight panel. '70 taillights were recessed.

In the front, the '69 headlights were on the outer edge of the headlight bucket.
The '70 headlights had a vent-like recessed area outboard of the headlights.

Here are some photos - '69 on top, '70 on the bottom

If Troy gets sidepipes, I'm selling off all my ProStars for a set of Keystone Classics, the gold ones because that's how I roll.

I wish they made a modern version of the Keystone Klassics. I actually contacted Crager to see if they were planning on a modern version and they said no :(
