That's like bragging how many times you've been allowed to grab a boob at third base but never being able to close the deal.:p I've grabbed my share of boobs but don't brag about it......

Not taking too serious....I like to see good natured ribbing.....I get quite a chuckle out of it. It was just a general statement that was not pointed at anyone in particular, just something I've always though regarding sports fans.

I would start a "Phillies baseball thread" but I think that would be too much and I'd get banned.

    baseball isn't a real sport anyway :P

Flyers were/are great this year. Honestly I think they might take it...especially with the Bs getting eliminated last night.

The Pens were great this year too- the combination of Fleury's awful play and poor team chemistry after Sid's return killed them against a well running, tight knit Flyers team.

I agree with this completly. Team was riddled with injury after injury and both offense, and defense could never keep any real consistancy.

Truth is, Philly has a great shot at getting to and winning the cup finals. I wouldn't mind seeing it happen actually.

    Putting flame suit on.

Well if the rangers don't win their game 7 then statistically Philly has a great chance to win. We then turn to the Philly Fan Speculation Inverse Hypothesis™® and must conclue that either:

    a) philly will be knocked out in the next round, or
    b) philly will make it all the way to the finals and lose in 7 games

However, if the Rangers win, then the Flyers Underachieving Victory Hypothesis™® kickes in, which means they will beat everyone up and including the Rangers, after which they will promptly lose the next series.

However, if you truly believe in your heart of hearts that the flyers are done, and enough people feel that way, you can create the Flyers Victory Reality Distortion Shield™ around them, which causes all fails to be transformed into win, thus allowing them to win the Cup.

But nah, im no superstitious :P

Philly had a better team this year. I guess all that matters is what happens on the ice but on paper, Penguins are the better team IMHO. Giroux obviously is a great player but a lot of success came from a lot of their rookies and grinders. Not to mention they went to town on a struggling defense and a goaltender that was playing his worst goaltending of the season.

I'm not one to make excuses. We lost and we deserved to lose the way we were playing. But that said, you have to admit that our slump coming at the worst possible time was pretty opportunistic for the Flyers.

I could have a serious talk about this because hockey is still awesome regardless if we are still in it or not. I don't think Flyers are set up to take the cup. I just don't. I don't like their style and they still, like ever other year, struggle in the net. If they make it to the East Finals, lets say against the Rangers, I think they lose in 6. But if they make it to the Finals I say it is going to be against the Blues and the Blues defense is just too strong this year with the Flyers goaltending being too weak yet again.

Then all there will be left to do is choke back that sweet taste of 1975 again.

You make some good points here. I think the rangers are the one team that will beat philly in a 7 game series from the east since they owned them this year . Before, it looked like NY might lose the last series. I'm like you though, enjoying the playoffs regardless of who plays.

I disagree. I don't think any woman has achieved orgasm from drinking a Sex On The Beach

Why is Philadelphia so obsessed with Sidney Crosby? It must be because he's important, because I don't see anyone in Pittsburgh giving a rat's ass about anyone from the Flyers and making a beer for them?!?!?!

If it looks good, you'll see it. If it sounds good, you'll hear it. If it's marketed right, you'll buy it. But if it's real, you'll feel it. IG: @donuttrump

    Penis envy.

In other news the table is set to see how the beer tastes with a mix of Cryers tears about 10pm tomorrow night.

I wonder if G will be wearing an orange tie in the box during the game, he's gonna get a Shana-ban for that hit yesterday.

Apparently beating the Pens was Philly's stanley cup win! Much like the Ravens beating the Steelers.
