I have heard that before, the name escapes me but I was told basically one chemical company pretty much produces for everyone. Different formula's for the various distributors but all comes from the same lab / compounding company. Huh cant remember the name.. Wilson / Wilcox it'll come to me.

Niether Adams or CG makes their own chemicals. They buy them and mix them up. There's no relation between the companies other than that. It's been a long running conspiracy for a few years, rumor has it CG started the rumors. Sort of like if Royal Purple planted questions in forums, "does RP make Amsoil?" It could persuade someone to buy RP over Amsoil.

I've used both with decent results. Anymore I quit trying everything under the sun, too expensive and in the end the results don't vary that much. I found a few products that work for me and that's what I stick to. Technique goes a lot further than the most expensive wax slapped on by a monkey.

Having just bought a black truck a couple months ago the monkey has no extra time available. Once he dries the truck he has to start washing it again in ten minutes. Poor bastard can't even get a cigarette break anymore

the one reason i dont go by anything adams line says. They bundle the PCXP system with 7" pads. Right there that shows they do not know what proper size to use with the machine. a 7" pad a PCXP is going to be useless. Sure it may get the job done but it will take you soooo much more time and so much more effort to try and get the machine to keep spinning due to the oversized pad. For correction on a PC, Griots or Megs DA you shouldnt ever go above a 5.5" pad and 6.5" is max I would use to apply wax or a glaze. 7" is just useless and should be left for rotaries

^^^ True story. Hell, even the 5.5" pads are pushing it on the Porter Cable, particularly for compounding. I'd like to use it only for 4" buffing and get a rotary for the 5.5/6.5" pads.

thats why I only use the Microfiber pads or the hydrotech low profiles..less rotational mass to keep it going..but I use a Griots now and its much more powerful then my old PC and keeps pads spinning better.hell when i had my Flex I wouldnt ever think of using a 7" pad even on that. So i have no idea why they sell kits with 7" pads other then a rotary
