ok either my oil gauge is messed up or i have a pressure problem. my gauge flux's sometimes... high-low-normal.
how can i test my oil pressure to verify it is a gauge problem?

its actually better for the pressure to move alogn with rpms.
to test it you would need another gauge
mine always read above normal. when it was at normal knew it was time to change the oil.. Think i had more money in oil changes than the entire purchase price.
Do you like phill collins, u1arunit ?
when it starts ticking real loud you have no oil pessure. Thats how my one friend used to know when his truck needed oil lol
06 Custom Hardtail Honda SS750
00 Yamaha V Star 1100
88 Ford F250
well most of the time its in the normal area....but a few times it has moved.....it will normally move a tiny bit buy stil be right in the normal area. i checked the oil every day and its fine.
When installing an oil pressure gauge should you purge all air from the line running to the gauge?

I have installed alot of mechanical gauges in cars and never have.
Thanks. Mine is definitely a plastic line, although I'll have to replace it anyway sine I only have about 2ft. :)
