    Beretta PX4 Storm .40 or 9?

Well, beings that I've gotten into pistols lately, I'm looking for something to carry and keep inside the truck. I have not shot either of these guns yet, but I'm looking to purchase either a PX4 Storm .40 or the 9mm. Wanted to get some opinions on both, something easy to conceal, with great knockdown power. I have a Taurus Judge .45 LC / 410 shot shell, with a 2 1/2 inch barrel, but it stays in the night stand, too large to carry unless you want to be known for carrying a cannon on your hip. Also open to some other ideas, I know a lot of fella's on here are into pistols and just wanted to get some opinions.

Came across the PX4 Storm .40 today, and was half tempted to purchase it at 325.00 used with three clips in great shape. Didn't "pull the trigger" beings I haven't talked to many who've had one..any input would be appreciated!

Haven't shot either, however I prefer a .40. That being said my current carry is a LC9 ruger 9mm. It's very small , but fits in my hand well. Would have rathered it be a 40 but I'm overall happy with it. Seems like a good price on the PX4

Can't go wrong with a glock 27 .40 then buy the 357 sig barrel for protection so you can shoot .40 at the range and 357 sig for carrying. All while useing the same clips. But I do carry a little bodyguard smith 380 in my pocket at all times with some Speer gold dots and it has never failed at the range so I trust it .

That's exactly what I have only I have a .40 barrel for my 33. I have a Glock 29 just for shits and giggles.

I have a px4 compact in 9mm and i absolutely LOVE it. IMO it shoots like a dream, feels great in my hand and is very accurate. In my crossbreed it isn't much of a bother to carry unless it's a hot day then it gets a bit annoying.

Great guns, I wouldn't hesitate to buy another.

PX4 Storm isnt a bad pistol. It has a hammer so you can have a true SA or DA tirgger pull. I think the slide is a tad wider than some of the other manufacturers out there. Honestly if you want something you can shoot at the range and carry id go for a Glock 23. Yes there are smaller 40 cals out there that will be better concealed carry guns but they arent great for the range.

Smith & Wesson just came out with the M&P 40 Shield. Subcompact 40 cal designed for concealed carry. They have it in 9mm as well. Also theres Glock 27, Springfield Armory XD 40 subcompct, Ruger LC9, Sig Sauer, ect.

Id go to the store and handle them all and see what feels best for you.

I have a 40 cal PX4 Storm and love it. I have the full size model and I do not carry it. I have it for home protection with 17 round clips. It has a great feel to me, it shoots great all day long, and it is easy to take down and clean. I'm dying to get my hands on the new S&W 40cal Shield, it is my planned carry pistol. The 9mm variety is currently out but as of 2 weeks ago the 40 cal hadn't made it to dealers yet.

I use whatever I feel like picking up at the time. Lately it's been mg sig 9mm with a half loaded magazine. Other times I carry my XD .40, again with a half loaded magazine both are nice but the XD is a good bit larger than the sig.

Oh, and for home protection, I tend to lean towards my sig 556 with 6 30 round magazines and a nice Eotech holographic optic set on top. Flip on the tac light and nothing gets by.

Only thing I don't care for on my p250 9mm is it see like you pull the trigger for a country mile before it fires. I got a good deal on it though so that's why I keep it. Love my XD 40 though!!! Going to look at a kimber 1911 .45 tomorrow.

If it looks good, you'll see it. If it sounds good, you'll hear it. If it's marketed right, you'll buy it. But if it's real, you'll feel it. IG: @donuttrump
