T56 Pops out of 3rd gear.

Right section? It's bolted to a mod motor so?

Anyways, I've noticed that, in certain instances, my car will pop out of 3rd gear. It seems to happen most if I am coasting in 3rd and the car gets to around 1000-1500 RPM, sometimes it pops out on its own, but it's more common if I place any pressure on the shifter (MGW Orange). I've never noticed it being hard to shift into 3rd, and it doesn't grind, but it prob. shouldn't be popping out on its own.

Motor/Trans has 68,500 miles and I definitely don't drive it like a jagoff. It is fine on acceleration and even decel, unless I'm in a specific RPM range. It almost seems like it's just one of those things where you direct shift the trans sans clutch and it's at the right speed, but could there be something else?

Any thoughts or ideas is appreciated.

If it looks good, you'll see it. If it sounds good, you'll hear it. If it's marketed right, you'll buy it. But if it's real, you'll feel it. IG: @donuttrump

Do you have the screw stops in the base of the shifter? Your not supposed to use them on a T56.

Came with the shifter in it, but I never thought to look. I'll check it out today and see. I did some Google'ing earlier and they mentioned it on some FBody forums, but they didn't mention what shifter they were usin.

Yeah it's a slight TOB whine before it gets warm, if you put your foot on the pedal it goes away. I'm thinking they are unrelated but... guess ya never know...

Can the TOB whine issue on the T56's be fixed by using a steel bearing retainer like on the T-5s ?
