    5.0 twin turbo build

i recently found a 5.0 with a blown head gasket computer and harness and a twin turbo set up im planning on buying. Im looking to make as much rwhp as possible with a stock block without blowing it to pieces. Its going in a 84 svo fox body any ideas? Specs? What parts i should buy along with the turbos? The turbos are small garretts

What are the specs of the car now? If we know what all is done then we can help you choose the next modifications. Is there any budget limit?

i have till after december to have all the parts. So im not really sure of a budget but it will be a couple of grand and the car so far is just a roller. i have the motor out of a different car it came as a 4 cyl turbo car and im building it into a 5.0 street strip car.

What year is the engine you have now? Is it completely stock?

just a thought - is it really worth all of the expense of a TT build to make 500rwhp?? There's got to be way cheaper, way easier ways to make that kind of power...

Turbo kits actually are the cheap way to make power on old 5.0's. You can make his target power levels with the stock long block and and a bolt on ebay turbo kit which is only around $1000-$1500 then just add your normal supporting mods.

I've heard some horror stories about the cheap kits on ebay. I'll bet street lethal could put a package together on a fox for very cheap, and the quality will be there.

I think he may be trying to learn something about building cars, dropping it off at a shop then writing a check really dosn't allow the op to gain knowledge or have the satisfaction of sayin "I built that "

A single turbo kit for a fox starts at 3800 at StreetLethal. Not trying to promote, just remember seeing it in another thread. Good luck with your build man.
