This defies logic... I've been told that the auto tranny is the single most important part of any consistent race car.

You went wrong on two fronts ...

1 - You are listening to the wrong people (usually those with automatics)

2 - This is a STREET car, it says that right in the class name ... TRUE STREET ;)

I don't know how you keep winning with a stick shift street car that defies logic.

    Speaking of that ...

I had tested Friday and had the car dialed in pretty good at 12.0's (12.01, 12.03 running hot). I made one last test hit to see how far I could push things and the car went 11.96 ...

Move to Saturday and we come back from the cruise it's 5* hotter, but 15% more humid (god awful). Made the first pass and was at 12.10, second pass was a 12.09 ... Though to myself I need a 11.9X so I took a shot with the other set up, it went 11.96... That gave me a 12.05 average, the guy chasing me had a 12.06 average .... Guess what got me the win ...

Yep, shifted it at more RPM

No, nothing. My speedometer is cable driven and I dont have anything else to use. I can tell when the clutch comes out what it's going to 60' and then decide what I'm going to do from there.

My standalone could log one if there is a 0-5V device out there. also on that subject, True Street rules are no laptops in the car in competion, and right now I have to have the laptop connected to log anything.

It's really the ultimate tuning tool! I see faster times from your setup if you run one. There is always a way around the rules
