Im not terrified of snakes but i dont like sharing indoor spaces with them either. I dont mess with them outside but when their in the garage they gotta go. Too much wow factor for me when they set up shop inside and i stumble upon them.

Doesn't mean there is no wilderness here (especially when I was younger, its quite a bit more built up around here now), or that I spent my life here hiding in my house. Played in the woods/cricks all my life like a normal western pa boy!

And I agree that I don't want snakes living in my garage... but I probably would have taken it to the woods or something. They keep the rodent population in check around here.

No thanks to snakes. I would have had to pull out the 38 Special w/ some snake shot. Judge 45/410 would be a nice snake gun as well.

Those are rat snakes. Be on the lookout for mice or other small critters in there now. Usually won't find the snakes unless they have something to munch on nearby.

Crusher, I been been meaning to get out there for a few months. We went to the "show" in Washington a few months back. Wasn't too impressed, lots of bred pythons. One guy did have some cobras, but they were about 8" and thin as spaghetti, way too tiny and easy to lose.

yeah python morphs are now the desireable snakes to own.. i actually own a few morphs.. i love my boa constrictor though. the one in washington is usually bigger than the one in harmarville but like i said harmar house usually has some rattlesnakes and some vipers for sale depending on the season and they are allowed to sell them there whereas in washington they werent allowed until recently i wanna pick up a male albino burmese... i want a burmese but dont want a 18 foot snake that weighs more than me... so ill get a male that only gets about 10.

I haven't been to the Enclosure in a few years, stopped by a month or so ago and they weren't open yet.

I was in Tombstone AZ in Jan. There was a reptile museum in one of the alleys, he does rescues and teaches kids. This guy had rattlers, coral snakes, and a great story about a black mamba getting loose in some guys house.

Man, I hate snakes!! My buddy thou has been obsessed with reptiles/snakes for years, but just recently been gettin out of it. His basement was full of homemade display cases with lizards and snakes n such from all over. He's gone to those reptile conventions you speak of crusher. He has also took me to the Enclosure before too a few years back. That place was FULL of the most venomous snakes on earth! They had all sorts of different Cobras, Vipers, Mambas!! Geez that place gave me the creeps for suuure!!! They also had that HUGE prehistoric looking turtle/tortois that just walk't freely around the shop!

Grab it and look real close at the eyes If it's all black and you're in PA it's just a rat snake. Only snakes in PA to worry about are the copperheads and rattlers, everything else is non venomous. Rat snakes, even garters will hiss and bite, but they're generally just wanting to be left alone.

There usually arent any pieces big enough for me to examine after I get done with them ... I can tolerate most things, except snakes.

Lou - You are going to have to start delivery service. I'm not coming back until you are "certified snake free" down there
