    Thinking about selling...

Well thinking about selling the termi... I've really wanted to upgrade lately and been looking at a lot of gt500's and roush's and stuff?? Just found a 2008 roush 427r with only 7k miles. It has a lot of potentional and way more rare than my car.. Also looking for a badass truck as well, for something that makes more sense for year round. but would have to have a lot of power (S/C'd or diesel) but I can't imagine not having a muscle car, I've always had a mustang.. I would definetly want a terminator again if I did this, but afraid by then I won't find one as nice as mine...
Criticism? What do you guys think?
I've been driving myself crazy with this...

No way I would give up a terminator for a 427 r mustang I have seen a few ridden in a car very similar and nowhere near the car a terminator is.

Keep the Termy. I at one point wanted a Roush also. But realized they don't hold there value like a Terminator. I think Terminators have a more stout bottom end too, unless it's a P51.

I have an 03 cobra and an 08 stage 3 Roush. Don't read me wrong because I love my Roush, I love driving it, it gets so many looks, it is very sinister looking and everyone knows the name Roush but the cobra would eat it alive from a dig, a roll, top end, whatever, hands down the cobra will out perform the Roush except for braking and handling. My cobra has a cai and exhaust and that is it too. When I drive the Roush I feel like it has been forced to run as good as it does and things don't seem to mesh when I hammer it. On the other hand, you can tell that the cobra was built from the factory to perform that way. My Roush from an engine standpoint is basically a factory three valve car with the Roush blower and a tune. It is no stronger internally than any other three valve and neither is the tranny.

From a performance standpoint don't give up the terminator. If your looking to score some chicks, go get the Roush.

That is my take on it.

and my trans am will out handle and out brake your cobra with spending a few $$$.. I hate when people say that crap. You can buy anything and spend money on it and have it outperform something else.

No way would I pick the 427R over the Cobra, the Cobra's block has way more potential than the 427 and the value which I believe will always be there with the Cobra. For what I spent on my Cobra, I could have got a 20k mile GT500 or Roush but choose otherwise. To each there own though!

Thanks guys. I was just using the roush as an example of something I could get.. now that I think about it, I would never take that over my car. But either way the cobra is probably gonna have to be sold within about a month. So if anyone on here wants to know more about it or shoot me an offer, I would entertain it. It is my baby and will be very hard to let go though fair warning, I could careless about KBB, it's immaculate and most people on this forum knows this car..

The S197 is superior to the SN95 in every way possible from a chassis stand point.

Terminator to GT500 is a good progression.

Wish I was in a position to buy it back, but to many irons in the fire right now. Take from a person that sold it...I would keep it. However I understand the allure of something new and different, so at the end of the day, it's just a car. Do what makes you happy. But I couldn't give up a musclecar for a diesel truck. Modern rice anymore

That's what I was thinking, I would feel much better having that. Except I don't want to have to start over with putting money into it, like my car puts out what a factory gt500 does.

Thanks cam, I wouldn't want to feel like you did when you got rid of it. But now you have a car just as badass ya know? But what I'm getting at is I'm not gonna have a choice it's going to have to be gone.... And what I'm getting at with a truck is because it's 4wd (cant just have a toy forever, i need a dd and then look for a muscle car down the road when i can do so) but I would still want the power so it's hard with a gas truck unless I had a s/c on it or something so idk it's hard...

If its coming down to needs and not wants. You gotta do what you gotta do, but the cobra is just a car and you can always buy another one

Well it's official I'm going to have to bring myself to sell it... So If anyones interested just pm me, and I'll make an official for sale thread when I get a chance. It's been garaged for the last year only taken it out for a very occasional cruise or to take it to the shop to put more money into it.....
