Just curious. How many miles, year, what engine and trans? Hows the frame condition?
i took this on trade, its a1987 i think, 2.9 5speed, airworks, heat works, alllights burn, clutch and brakes feel great, Lib88stangs Uncle bought this thing new, and He got it from him, all in all it runs good, its for sure a beater,but i figure its worth 500bux, or trade.. How does the tranny sound? They would make noise in every gear except 4th when the bearings would start to go....I had about six or seven of them. How does the 2.9 sound? They were terrible for lifter noise.
If the tranny is quiet and motor is not rattley, it's surely worth the asking/trade price.

For sure. Mine had 200k on it when i sold it with the original engine but the maunual was rebuilt twice because it that very noise you speak of. I think it wa a bearing issue. I ran 89 in mine and it seemed to stop the lifter noise if i remember correctly. Wish i had my garage built so i had a place for one. These things are a tank in the snow too. Sorry to clutter up your thread.

low mileage 302 shortblock with trickflow stage 1 cam,new billet timing chain set,new oil pump and gaskets. blocks painted ford blue. has new convertible motor mounts also. comes with stock heads,intake,valve covers. has all the hardware included. its complete except for a water pump. also have a explorer intake,70mm tb and egr spacer,double hump tranny crossmember,stock driveshaft,offset rack bushings, and some pulleys. not sure if they are underdrive or not. just getting out of mustangs so i want all my fox stuff gone

yes it did run. i bought the whole car for parts cause the body was shot so i pulled the engine for a coupe i had. since it was out i took it down to the shortblock and put the cam in it and figured i would jsut put a new pump in it and clean it up. i drove the car into the garage when i pulled it.
i also forgot i have a stock radiator to go with it
