Really sorry to hear this! Same thing happened to my buddy in Baltimore after he did a for sale ad with pics of the inside of his garage.

Wow that's shitty. How far away from your house is the garage? Surprised you didn't hear them. Insurance cover these kinds of things?

Geez Dan - I'm really sorry to hear about this. That is freaking BS!! WTF is wrong with people?

Time to install some motion lights and cameras.

Will insurance cover this? I would certainly hope so, but I've never had any experience like this.

Might be a good idea to go around and take digital photos of everything you have out there just to have proof of what you own in the event this happens again. I've meant to do that for a while but always seem to forget.

Keep your eyes on craigslist...that stuff might turn up for sale cheap...

I'm sure with the castle doctrine all you would have to do is put some kind of blunt object in their hand after you shoot them and be golden :)

Really sucks. I have an alarm that's as loud as a volunteer fire siren, plus all the windows have iron bars set into the frames on the outside. Previous owner did all of it.

I live in a pretty rough area and wouldn't be able to sleep nights without the extra protection.

I hope they bust their asses !

Damn, but arent you the guy that was willing to let people use your garage to work on their cars and what not?

Those people that took your kindness and used your garage would be the first suspects i would look into.

    1. wild animal : a carnivorous animal of the dog family that has a sturdy square body, large cubic inches, a wide RPM range , and comes in many colors. Foxes are found throughout most of the world and hunt alone, mainly at night, relying on cunning and an acute sense of power and acceleration. They feed on mostly small rodents like rats(BBC) , mice (SBC) and snakes(Cobras).

Garage is about 120' from the house, but the side they broke in through is away from the house and another 50+ feet away. The ****ers stacked some boards agaist the side to crawl in the window then came out through one of the front garage doors.

Insurance company will cover all the tools but I'm SOL on the kids Suzuki motorcycle.

After today the security will be greatly fortified.

No one ever came over. Everyone keeps asking if there is anyone I suspect...I can't honestly point a finger at anyone with any type of confidence and say that I think they did it. Maybe I'm just nieve.

    Lincoln SP-100 w/ bottle on a cart.

Chicago Electric (cheapo) from HF on a cart also.

Both had several spools of wire on the carts, welding shields, gloves and a grinder.
